This will help us determine Together we will collaborate on a treatment plan, providing a road-map for your healing and growth.
People come to counseling for a variety of reasons. You might be struggling with a mental health concern like depression, anxiety, substance use, an eating disorder, or trauma. Or you might be going through a life transition. You desire to improve your relationship with yourself or a loved one.
I work with adults facing a variety of issues. No issues are too great or small. There are a few areas I'm particularly passionate.
Although I may have specific areas of interest, I can help you will a number of issues. As a therapist, I help individuals with a wide array of issues. I choose to help heal and treat the whole person rather than just one specific disorder.
I appreciate the complexity of the human condition and honor your individual journey. While you might be seeking a counselor to help you with specific symptoms, mental health disorder, or additional support as you experience a life transition; ultimately I've found people may come to therapy with one issue but quickly discover other issues underneath the surface. What do I mean?
Well, for instance, you might seek help with depression but after careful exploration, you begin to discover the source of the depression. The source might be low self-esteem, a relationship issue, substance abuse, trauma, another source or a combination. Having a quality mental health counselor who desires to help you with a variety of issues, therefore, is beneficial.
Choosing a psychotherapist is a deeply personal process. It's important to find someone who's not only knowledgeable but also someone you feel comfortable sharing your inner world with. A person who you can connect to and let down your walls, being open, honest and be vulnerable. Studies have found the connection you have with your therapist is more important than any particular technique or modality your therapist might use.
