Trauma is more complex than ever before to define and describe, but not to those who have suffered. Over the years, trauma research has vastly expanded and shaped the way we help you heal and break free from those deep wounds.
Trauma is a highly stressful event(s), creating extreme stress that overwhelms a person’s ability to cope. Trauma can be one event or chronic repetitive experiences often experienced in childhood. It's anything one MAJOR Event like a natural distaser, crimes, violence or death. It's also ONGOING Experiences such as child abuse, neglect, psychological or emotional abuse, physical or sexual violence, abusive relationships, and everything in between.
If you've experienced any form of trauma, you could be suffering from anxiety, depression, PTSD, eating disorder, substance use or dependence, and much more. Together we will explore your symptoms. You will have a safe calming space to disclose your story and share your trauma history. You will also begin to explore your narrative and begin to rewrite your story, leading to empowerment and freedom. We will identify a plan to move towards healing and growth. You will start learning those tools to heal you cope when you become overwhelmingly trigger by those past events.
